WELCOME TO THE

MONTANA SNOWBOWL VOLUNTEER SKI PATROL 

Just minutes from Missoula, Montana, the Montana Snowbowl Volunteer Ski Patrol (SVSP) is dedicated to keeping skiers and snowboarders safe while fostering a strong mountain community. As trained first responders, our volunteer patrollers are passionate about mountain safety, emergency medical response, and avalanche education.

 

We're proud to be part of your Snowbowl experience, whether you are here to ski or ride, or you want to come volunteer with us.

OUR MISSION 

The Montana Snowbowl Volunteer Ski Patrol exists to: 

Promote mountain safety and skier education. 

Provide on-mountain emergency medical care and rescue services. 

Commit to continuous education and hands-on training to ensure skill, readiness, and professionalism.

Strengthen the mountain community through service, connection, and camaraderie.

WHAT WE DO

Emergency Medical Response

From minor injuries to complex rescues, our patrollers are certified in Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) and trained for rapid, compassionate response. 

Mountain Safety

We help mark hazards, sweep trails, and educate guests on best practices for a safe day on the mountain.

Skier Education

Promote skier safety and education while advancing patroller training in rescue, first aid, avalanche awareness, and mountaineering.
